War on terror
I would like to give an idea of a twist on war on terror for our southern neighbors.
Fight war on terror by simply not terrorizing your own folks.
I know the interesting stories where people are captivated on the boob tube for a long time are the ones where there's some dramatic contents, of people that might get killed, and where your own security is out of the window… but please, not every robbery is violent.
So like it was stipulated in Bowling for Columbine, please, try not to be that sensationalistic. Try it, it will help. Will not help your ratings, but heck, Fox News business model was once a special case… now for the past few years, even CNN is jumping the bandwagon of being extreme.
(Not-so) Funny to think the number of Americans dead in the 9-11 (2,986), as compared to the number of Americans dead (2743 total until yesterday) or wounded (17648 total until yesterday) to serve their country by fighting that war on terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq, while the latter climbs and climbs. Could perhaps have been avoided, don't you think?
